Happy Australia Day

'ave a good 'stralya day. Here are some of our bits of Australia at home.
A beautiful Australian Red Gum and beautiful Australian man!
How to ruin a perfectly good pair of RMs!
Damo's 'new' hat (his old one smelt so good a dog ate it). Our brand new flag finally flying on our flash flag pole (thanks Damo).
(ok the Pencil Pines are not very Australian)

Moving on up

It is nice to see that the progress with the house extension is now reaching out of the ground. We can get a real feel for our views from the north and east facing windows/doors. The only thing missing in today's photo is the hard working carpenters! Oh and Micky :-(

chick, chick, chick, chick

Our four very cute little chickens hatched on December 21. By December 22 they were eating crumble and running around. By January 10 they were up on the top perch with the grown-ups. It is January 18 today and they are not quite so cute!

Happy Birthday

It is six years today that we have officially owned Cookelish Creek. Happy Birthday farm. Also it is my sister's birthday - happy birthday Pen!
(Just for the record I am not a cat person, but it is a cute shot.)

Love your work

Our second slab of the concrete variety was poured on Christmas Eve. Steve (pictured) did a great job with his team of merry men, as our builder Bruce says it is square! Horray! And we sent Steve home with a Christmas present - some hay for his sheep - so everyone is happy. Love his hat!
