Changes ... warming changes
Our lounge fireplace is finally finished! It only took five years!
Before - below (And just for the record it is shown with the previous owner's styling/decor.) Pink wall; Stone fire surround with green grout; Not sure how to explain the mantle; The fire box was also fairly useless; Plus grotty carpet etc.
It has been a long project spanning five years even though it appears a fairly simple transition in the photos. We drove to Geelong to get the Jetmaster fire box I bought on ebay. It is fantastic. And the fire surround was on ebay too! I found the big frame in a second hand furniture shop and had a mirror fitted. I think the frame might have originally been the front of a chest of drawers.

Happy Australia Day
'ave a good 'stralya day. Here are some of our bits of Australia at home.
A beautiful Australian Red Gum and beautiful Australian man!
How to ruin a perfectly good pair of RMs!
Damo's 'new' hat (his old one smelt so good a dog ate it). Our brand new flag finally flying on our flash flag pole (thanks Damo).
(ok the Pencil Pines are not very Australian)
Moving on up

Happy Birthday
Love your work
Our second slab of the concrete variety was poured on Christmas Eve. Steve (pictured) did a great job with his team of merry men, as our builder Bruce says it is square! Horray! And we sent Steve home with a Christmas present - some hay for his sheep - so everyone is happy. Love his hat!
